Eddy Morales

Eddy is currently the Electoral Field Manager at the Center for Community Change where he manages national, multimillion-dollar, voter-engagement programs targeted at low-income communities.  He is also a primary developer of Generation Change, the Center's innovative new initiative to recruit, train and nurture a new generation of social justice leaders.

A key pillar of the Center for Community Change mission is to build the social movements of tomorrow and the engagement of low-income people in the political process.  To that end, Eddy's work at the Center has sought out promising new leaders around the nation with a particular focus on underrepresented areas such as the South and communities of color and strengthened the electoral power of low-income communities.   His work has also helped to develop and implement strategies to market and promote community organizing as a career.

Eddy brings dynamic energy and a spirit of innovation to his leadership at the Center for Community Change built over years as a national youth leader.  Prior to joining the Center, Eddy served as the elected President of the U.S. Student Association, the nation's oldest, largest, and most inclusive student organization representing millions of students in Washington.  During his tenure, Eddy led successful campaigns to defeat cuts to education spending and key programs, successfully fundraised over 1.5 million dollars, and dramatically expanded the organization's field capacity.

Eddy is an alumnus of the University of Oregon and serves on the boards of the Service Employees International Union, National Stonewall Democrats, United States Student Association Foundation and the DC Coalition against Domestic Violence.
