Eddy Morales

Eddy Morales is the Deputy Director Generation Change at the Center for Community Change.  Eddy is one of he primary developers of Generation Change, the Center's innovative new initiative to recruit, train and nurture a new generation of social justice leaders.

A key pillar of the Center for Community Change mission is to build the social movements of tomorrow.  To that end, Generation Change seeks out promising new leaders around the nation with a particular focus on underrepresented areas such as the South and communities of color.  Generation Change also develops and implements strategies to market and promote community organizing as a career.

Eddy brings dynamic energy and a spirit of innovation to his leadership of Generation Change built over years as a national youth leader.  Prior to joining the Center, Eddy served as the elected President of the U.S. Student Association, the nation's oldest, largest, and most inclusive student organization representing millions of students in Washington.  During his tenure, Eddy led successful campaigns to defeat cuts to education spending and key programs, raised over $1.5 million, and dramatically expanded the organization's field capacity.

Eddy is an alumnus of the University of Oregon and serves on the boards of Choice USA, the United States Student Association and the Generational Alliance - a coalition of nine youth organizations.
