Cristina López is Deputy Executive Director for Communications and Leadership for the Center for Community Change.  In that capacity, Cristina oversees many of the Center's key departments including communications, leadership development, ideas, external affairs and general operations.  Ms. López also plays a key role on the Center's immigration strategy team and advises other Center initiatives on politics and communications strategy.  Cristina is a nationally recognized expert on immigration, politics and issues facing the Latino community who is regularly featured in the media.

Ms. López has broad experience in nonprofit management and in design and implementation of development programs and policy analysis related to health, education and leadership, with special emphasis on the Latino community.  Prior to coming to joining the Center, Cristina served as Vice President of MOSAICA, a nonprofit multicultural consulting group that provides organizational development assistance to nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and around the world.  Cristina has also served as Vice President for Institutional Development at the National Council of La Raza.

Cristina is a member of the Board of Directors for AYUDA – an organization dedicated to serving the low-income Latino and Immigrant communities of Washington, D.C.; and on the US Board of Action Aid International – an organization that advocates reform to US foreign and economic policies to fight poverty in the Global South.

Ms. López has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa; and a Masters in Social Foundations of Education from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
