Deepak Bhargava, executive director:Mr. Bhargava is one of the most respected progressive voices and a leading advocate for poor and minority communities. He is regularly called on to present the perspective of the grassroots at progressive gatherings, political roundtables, news television shows and print articles. Most recently, Mr. Bhargava was recently a guest on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal where he discussed the unemployment rate, foreclosures, the deficit and the overall economic state. He has a regular column published in the Huffington Post. 

Gabe Gonzalez, national campaign director: Mr. Gonzalez leads the center’s national campaign work and is the chief political strategist for the Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM). Mr. Gonzalez has been quoted extensively in the press and has appeared on several news television shows including “Countdown with Keith Olbermann,” which can be viewed here

Steve Savner, director of public policy: Mr. Savner leads the center’s policy and legislative activities. He has written extensively on issues related to federal and state welfare and workforce development policy, and on public job creation programs.

Marissa Graciosa, immigration campaign coordinator: Ms. Graciosa is the spokesperson for the Fair Immigration Reform Movement, a national coalition of grassroots organizations fighting for just and humane immigration reform.

Mary Dailey, director, retirement security campaign: Ms. Dailey leads the center’s work on protecting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. She previously directed the center’s Health Care campaign and its field efforts as part of the Health Care for America Now Campaign.
