Field Building
To build power and support for community values policies that work for
all of us, the Center works to strengthen the field of
community-led, grassroots organizations.
We build relationships with grassroots community organizations that cross
ethnic, geographic and issue boundaries to change economic and social justice
public policies at the local, state and national levels. The groups with which we work span organizing
styles and approaches as well as constituencies, but prioritize communities
most often at the margins of policy change.
The Center brings these organizations together, in regional and national
groupings, for reflection, shared learning and joint strategic campaigns.
Regional Assistance
The
Center supports grassroots organizations in every region of the country to
expand their skills and relationships to achieve greater impact. By focusing on a regional framework, the
Center can better understand the unique context and opportunities in each part of
the country and help mobilizations in that region to achieve change. Based in the Northwest, Southwest, Midwest,
Southeast and Northeast, our regional organizers connect and support individual
organizations in their region and connect them to national campaigns. MORE >>
