The Campaign for Community Values

What are Community Values?

Every day, people come together to solve shared problems. In the Philippines, the entire village pitches in to move a neighbor's home. This is called bayanihan or community.

Likewise, community-based organizations unite the people most affected by social and economic injustice to hold politicians accountable, create solutions and accomplish together what they are unable to accomplish alone.

Check out this video to see what we mean by community values:

In this spirit, the Center for Community Change and hundreds of grassroots groups launched the Campaign for Community Values in 2007.

The Campaign for Community Values offers more than policy solutions. It offers a vision of hope for America rooted in the understanding that we are stronger when each of has a voice, radically different from the go it alone mentality that dominates America today.

This is not a Washington-based campaign it is owned, shaped and directed by the Center for Community Change and community groups across the nation.
