Create Jobs, not Pain: How Congress can make up for the past six monthsAt the halfway mark of 2010, with national unemployment numbers nearing 10 percent and more than one million unemployed Americans left without the benefits they need to keep their families afloat in this economy, I cannot help but wonder how Congress went so terribly wrong. As this year began, America seemed to be turning around. Democrats were on their way to securing the national health care bill, and they voiced excitement about the prospect of finally being able to focus all of their attention on the issue at hand to bring the economy out of its current recession: job creation.
