Susan Chinn
Susan Chinn is the Director of the Generation Change Program at the Center for Community Change. Before joining CCC, she was involved in the field of philanthropy for sixteen years, primarily as the Executive Director of the Discount Foundation, a small private foundation that focuses on alleviating poverty by supporting exemplary programs to improve job opportunities for low-income people. She also served as a program officer for the Proteus Fund and the Fund 2000, where her grantmaking focused on promoting civic participation. Before joining the Discount Foundation in 1988, she spent 9 years as a community organizer. Additionally, Susan began Parents United for Child Care, a Massachusetts nonprofit dedicated to expanding the supply of quality, affordable child care and out-of-school care.
Susan has a Masters Degree in History from the University of Illinois.
Eduardo "Eddy" Morales
Eddy Morales is the Deputy Director of the Generation Change Program at the Center for Community Change. Prior to joining the Center, Eddy served as the elected President of the U.S. Student Association, the nation's oldest, largest, and most inclusive student organization representing millions of students on Capitol Hill, the Department of Education and the White House. During his tenure, he coordinated several of USSA's most aggressive campaigns to defeat some of the largest proposed cuts to education spending and key programs in the history of the Department of Education, elevated the organization's presence in national coalitions and across the country and built the organization's field capacity Eddy also raised over $1.5 million in his last year to fund a 5-year strategic planning process and its implementation.
Eddy attended the University of Oregon where he studied Planning, Public Policy and Management and Spanish, and serves on the boards of several national youth organizations including Choice USA, the United States Student Association and the Generational Alliance, a coalition of nine youth organizations.
Maria Teresa Del Rosario
Maria Teresa Del Rosario is the Program Manager of the Generation Change Program at the Center for Community Change. Maria has worked in domestic violence advocacy on the local, state, and national levels, most recently with the policy office of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence as well as the American Bar Association Commission on Domestic Violence. She has also worked as a consultant to national domestic violence organizations and helped to organize focus groups concerned with implementation challenges with consideration to changes in federal law. Additionally, she has worked to organize state and national Lobby Days, economic justice conferences as well as continuing legal education events.
Maria Teresa graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park, where she majored in Women's Studies and Government & Politics, and she is on the board of directors and advisory boards for local domestic violence organizations.
Son Ah Yun
Son Ah Yun is currently the Director of Advanced Leadership Trainining for Generation Change. Son Ah is responsible for creating strategies to train, develop, and mentor existing community organizers. She's been at the Center for Community Change since 2000, beginning as an intern and staffing the National Campaign for Jobs and Income Support. She recently served as the Immigration Co-Team Leader and was instrumental in the building of CCC's immigration work, which led to the development of the Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM) into the leading voice for grassroots immigrant organizations across the nation.
She has a B.S. from Emory and an M.S.W. from Washington University. She was born in Seoul, Korea.
