Friday, July 13, 11am – 2 pm: Religion and Politics
This gathering of Nashville's clergy will focus on the role that religion plays in shaping people's views of the world around them. In order to successfully organize in this region, it is important to understand the faith based infrastructure and the impact religion has on politics and political views.

Friday, July 27, 10am – 1pm: Civic Engagement – Electoral Organizing
The Nashville Homeless Power Project (NHPP) consists of homeless and formerly homeless people confronting the root causes of poverty and oppression. NHPP believes that housing, healthcare, food security and the use of public facilities are rights that are deserved by all. It develops concrete solutions by building power through relationships with our brothers and sisters in the streets, allies, and decision makers.
The Nashville Homeless Power Project spent the summer registering hundreds of homeless and low-income people to vote. Now it is time to vote for Nashville's Mayor, Vice Mayor, Council members at-large and about 20 other council district seats. On this Friday, July 27th, YOU will help us get our people to the polls.
