The kick-off to the Generation Change internship program is a mandatory training held in Tennessee. Generation Change interns spent four intensive days participating in a hands-on training learning the concepts of community organizing, power analysis, self interest, public vs. private relationships, relational organizing, issue campaigns, and leadership development. Trainers included Gerald Taylor (Industrial Areas Foundation), Ana Garcia Ashley (Gamaliel Foundation), and Gabe Pendas (US Student Association). Click here to read their biographies.
