Are You Passionate?
Already know that your passion is community organizing, but not sure how to get your foot in the door? Excited about the electoral work that this election year has to offer as well? Perfect timing because GenChange is announcing the launch of its unique Fellowship Program! 20 recent college graduates –or community activists of any age –will be placed at dynamic grassroots community organizations working to improve the lives of poor and working people. You'll be trained to use the tools of democracy, including the vote, to help communities get their voices heard, and to hold politicians accountable.
The Next President……
While most people have been wondering who the next President of the United States will be, we here at GenChange and the Community Voting Project are asking tougher questions about the future of our country. How do we make sure that politicians are more responsive to low income and underrepresented communities? Who will be the grassroots leaders and community organizers of tomorrow? How do we find and develop passionate, committed young professionals who have the skills to lead the social change movements of today and tomorrow?
And That's Where You Come In….
If you've been wondering how to live out your passion and get paid organizing for economic and social justice, then apply for the 2008 Generation Change Fellowship Program!
***The application period for the GenChange Fellowship Program closed on March 15, 2008. Please visit us soon for more information on the 2008 GenChange Fellowship Class!***
