God's blessings and the end of discrimination against anyone.

My one big wish!

Passage of the Employee Free Choice Act!

Most important wish for me

No more separation of families due to Immigration raids - We need immigration reform in this country...everyone except for the American Indian came from another country one day. We can no longer afford to be so selfish...The bad Karma is upon this country...we need to do GOOD things for GOOD KARMA in return!

Third World Mexico and South America

Sounds like bad karma to me. We've only been getting bad karma when we began to listen to this BS and the mistake of Amnesty. Community change does not come from La Raza's racism.. of the Tan Klan. Only gangs, drugs, more racism, teenage pregnancies.. imported from Mexico.

my wish for our country

i hope that we can create jobs and get the economy working again for everyone --- especially women and poor people and people of color and all who have been left out of prosperity in the past!

my wish

an end to neoliberal policies at home and abroad!

MY WISH FOR THE NEW YEAR AND ALL TO COME

No more separation of families due to Immigration raids - We need immigration reform in this country. Immigrants need an opportunity to have a better life in this country.

All the Mexicans who come here...

Posted by vblord at 24-Dec-2008
Say about how wonderful Mexico is after they've left. How they miss their country. What's the point. No self respect comes from leaving your homeland to drug lords and gun runners.

My wish is:

That people stop hating other people and that the church/temple stop preaching and profiting from the hate and prejudgement of others.

Real Change...

Posted by ron956 at 23-Dec-2008
Real change is largely within us...but I hope for an America that can celebrate diversity regardless of color, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.
Politicians cannot make change...WE must. YOU...Work at the CHANGE!
Give of yourself...Give to your local charity...either time or money.
Be tolerant of others. SPEAK OUT against intolerance.
Hold those that are elected accountable...be engaged!
YOU are the VOICE...Be the change that YOU WISH TO SEE!

My Wish for the New Year in The United States

Equality for ALL. This means especially for the LBGT community.

Decent Work for All

Posted by WilliamCerf at 24-Dec-2008
I want to see every person in America who wants to work and/or needs to work in order to survive to have a job or jobs that will allow them to pay 100% of the REAL nand ACTUAL costs in current dollars of the following:

Rent/Mortgage
HVAC
Telephone/Internet
Transportation (In New York City that would be an $81/monthly MetroCard.)
Toiletries
Laundry Items and Supplies
A little walking around money.

I want ALL of us to have a pleasant, modest style of living. Is that too much to ask?

stop helping US citizens - help ONLY illegals

Posted by vblord at 24-Dec-2008
US citizens should get no more help in America, ONLY illegal aliens. Illegals should take every citizens job and all benefits. Americans should be forced into labor camps to serve Mexico. Yeah, that's REAL change. Let's do that. Illegals are way more deserving than American citizens of any color or creed. La Raza all the way.

wow...

Posted by peaceseeker at 24-Dec-2008
No human is illegal!! you either believe in equality or you don't and that means no one should be consider more deserving then another especially when it comes to rights everyone is entlitle to as humans.

"Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law" -Article 6 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

.I WISH...

Posted by peaceseeker at 24-Dec-2008
People would recognize their human nature to love... and applied it to everyday activity and interaction with other people and beings living on mother earth.

If I had but one wish...

It would be that HR 676 would pass, creating Universal, single-payer, national Healthcare for every American!

An End to "Reverse Discrimination"

Posted by teukellys at 27-Jan-2009
I've been working as a minority Caucasian in a majority African-American county for many years. I'm saddened to constantly hear other "whites" complaining about the social subtext, and sometimes overt, discrimination they experience by the majority. My hope is that this majority will be so uplifted and so inspired by Obama's election that they will cease to assume that every Caucasian individual considers himself/herself superior, was born with opportunities, has a lack of understanding of "black" people, or automatically doesn't like them because of their color, their speech, their dress, their values, or whatever. They should remember that about half of the "white" voters in this country voted for Obama. Many of us are anxious to make friends with other ethnic groups: African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, Native American, European-Americans... no exceptions. We want to enrich our lives with all that these groups bring to our work lives, our communities, our nation. Give whites a chance!
