November 4th is right around the corner. Make sure you are prepared for Election Day with these tools. And fight voter suppression using the latest mobile technology!

We're gearing up to witness an millions of new voters on Election Day.  And as many experts are predicting, there will be problems:  new voter ID laws in some states, long lines, voters often don’t know where to vote, etc. 

FIND YOUR POLLING LOCATION


Visit our friends at GoVote.org or use this tool to find out your Election Day information:



Some information that you will find using govote.org:

  • A Google map showing where and when to vote early.
  • A polling place locator for their state/county, with Google maps coming in key states.
  • A list of ID to take to the polls.
  • Spanish-language translations for all key information.
  • Student specific information searchable by campus in key states.
  • An invitation to add even more information through crowdsourcing and wiki-like approach to data gathering.

Visit this site for resources to protect your vote.  (It's not just Wisonsin-specific).  It includes a hotline number for attourneys and language access resources.  Print it out to act against voter suppression.

And stay up-to-date about voter suppression using Twitter.  You can use your mobile device to get up-to-the-minute updates on your polling location and report voter suppression at the polls.
